Why Prayer?

We all know prayer is important, but do we realize its full impact??

Consider the following:

How many marriages would be together if someone was interceding for them?

How many pastors would still be preaching if someone had come along side and prayed for them?

How many children would not have been prodigals if someone had prayed for them?

How many people do not come to Christ because no one interceded for them?

The truth is that many things could be changed if people prayed. One pastor said that if the husband and wives in his church prayed together, revival would break out. Prayer can change things. Prayer changes people. Prayer changes us. II Chronicles 7:14 says: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Notice in this verse, prayer is one of the four things listed that God asks of us. If we are obedient to God's word, then prayer will be a priority in our lives.
